Citrus Australasica X
The CSIRO has developed a rare and unique tree which is the native Australian Finger Lime crossed with a kumquat.
Suitable to be grown in the ground or in a pot it makes a special addition to your home garden or orchard.

The tree has pretty dusty dark green foliage and produces plenty of good sized thumb or pear shaped fruit in shades of golden yellow.
The Sunrise Lime is delicious when eaten fresh from the tree – skin and all. The skin is sweet whilst the inside is tangy. It’s very versatile and goes well in salads, with fish and shellfish, or used in preserves.
It grows from between 2 – 5 metres high and approx 2.5 metres wide, is self-pollinating, evergreen, perennial, flowers in Spring and fruits from February to June plus attracting bees and other insects to your garden
It’s other attributes include
Soil Type : Loamy, Sandy loam, Clay loam, Potting mix
Climate: Sub-tropical, Warm temperate, Cool temperate, Mediterranean
pH Level : Acid, Neutral
Will happily flourish in a courtyard or in a container in sunny to light shade and will tolerate light frost.
This tree is definitely a must for my new location. The red soil already sees traditional citrus thrive so I simply MUST
